My Story

Damla Kalender

Born in Çengelköy, one of the oldest and most decent districts of the Bosphorus, which has preserved its traditional texture since the Ottoman period, Damla's interest in different and stylish objects began at a young age.

Her mother's knowledge of antiques and collecting, and her father's workplace in Sirkeci, one of the historical districts of Istanbul, were the preparations of her creative side.

While working in the Public Relations sector, where she studied at the university, and when she was in social life with the birth of her two princesses, she preferred to use her own bags instead of bags that appeal to general taste and preference.

The authentic atmosphere of the historical peninsula and Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Antique Dealers' Bazaar, which she visited with interest in her childhood, and the synthesis of the cultures of the different countries she worked in corporate life; prepared the principles of tradition and originality of the brand.

The journey began with designing and producing dolls for girls and creating handbags reflecting her own style, and it continues by expanding the product range of her brand with haute couture jewelry...

The unique and stylish motto of the DAMLA KALENDER brand is reflected in the most dazzling way through jewelry and bag buckles made from natural materials and stones such as Baroque pearls, gold, lapis lazuli, and quartz.

In the following period, she modernized the authentic structure of the kimono, the traditional dress of the Far East, and added it to her collection.

DAMLA KALENDER expanded its product range by adding unique haute couture jewelry designed with 'love,' embellished with gold plating, Swarovski crystals, and pearls.

The users of the brand she created, feel timeless elegance with the products created by interpreting traditional and natural materials in a modern style.

The texture of the inns in the Grand Bazaar, which she frequently visits, the west and east cities that preserve Turkey's historical and traditional values, and the stylish atmosphere of the district she lives in continue to inspire Damla.
